Yaw Brakes (Active Hydraulic)

WBA6-120: Yaw brakes

The WBA6-120 has been specifically designed to meet the exacting requirements of Wind Turbine yaw and rotor braking applications, where high braking and holding torques are required over long operational periods. The WBA6-120 is constructed from ductile cast iron, has two symmetrical halves each containing three 120mm diameter pistons, and features a proprietary piston seal and protection boot design. This unique combination of features ensures that the WBA6-120 provides reliable long term operation over extremes of environmental conditions, and simplified in-service inspection and maintenance for the duration of the Wind Turbine's lifetime.

WBA4-90: Yaw brakes

The Carlisle PD1425 series brake is a hydraulically actuated, double opposed piston, caliper disc brake with retracting springs and automatic adjusters. Both the caliper and disc require fixed mountings. This brake provides high torque ranges for severe service conditions. SCL56: Hydraulic

The Carlisle SCL56 series brake is a hydraulically actuated, triple opposed piston, caliper disc brake designed for heavy-duty, high torque, high energy dynamic braking. Both the caliper and disc require fixed mountings. Multiple calipers may be used on a single disc to proportionately increase torque output.
